I.M Cumbers

Spineless Jellyfish - Poem by I.M Cumbers

A poor man, champagne taste
A small man, I punch above my weight

A heartbreaker, choose your fish
A love maker, I long for your kiss

Time runs away carrying everlasting yearning
Time runs away carrying everlasting yearning

Strangle inhabitations, kill desire
Irrational emotions, wanna set on fire

Antidote for jealousy, freedom from this spell
These silver bullets, they pierce my shell

Time runs away carrying everlasting yearning
Time runs away carrying everlasting yearning

Open wounds, I hide from sight
I'm told the remedy's, to starve the flower of light

....So as regret haunts me, and question marks taunt me
I try to remember........

While I’m yearning, you need love
