Clouds of thoughts envelop me
Seldom do I set them free
Quiet am I, my tongue turned to lead
But thoughts are floating in my head.
My thoughts do bloom without control
The music of my hidden soul
Ideas are passions, my greatest treasure
You can drown a word out, but a thought lives forever
My thoughts, a flurry in my mind
Every word is intertwined
Irked by your silver-tongued words to the crowd
Slick but cheap as they leave your mouth
I disappear into my silence
You look me over and see no defiance
I am no threat, you now surmise
You say quiet, I say wise
No insight do I volunteer
My words would fall on deadened ears
A profound thought they would deface
Words are too valuable to waste.
Your mouth spills over with gossip and grammar
You make people swoon with your silver tongued banter
Your words are hollow, my thoughts, unspoken
Speech is silver, but silence is golden
