Knight Of Dawn Poem by Bailadora P

Knight Of Dawn

Rating: 5.0

Knight of dawn, early rise,
Eager to prove he deserves the prize
Moonlit night, tomorrow he stands,
Parading his colors for a lady's hand

Knight of virtue, shining armor,
Mounts his horse to gain his honor
Confronts his opponent, the masses cheer,
Visor pulled down, hiding no fear

Knight of victory, pleasing the king,
Your opponent speaks, there is no sting
Fairly played, the two agree,
The prize of respect, you have achieved

Knight of duty, serving the throne,
Seeds of doubt, traitors have sown
The youth enlists to preserve the crown,
Ready to cut those traitors down

Knight of courage, leading his troops,
By request of the king, they're now in pursuit
Fiery hearts, as they spot their foes,
Thundering hooves, as shouts turn to blows

Knight of horror, noble no more,
Realization, the cost of this war
Night of pain, the suffering of friends,
Screams of horses, the cries of your men

Knight of carnage, death and gore,
Dead are the brothers he adored
Not enough, his legion was,
To preserve their noble cause

Knight of heartache, head hung low,
Horses trudging through the snow
Somber night, stars show the way,
Live to fight another day.
