Speak To Me Poem by Tsani Jones

Speak To Me

Rating: 5.0

Speak to me...
Talk softly with silver tongue,
Sail into my heart on golden wings
And light the night sky.

I wander beneath you in shadow,
Lurk broken amongst the dead
In the weight of my despair,
So speak to me.

Tell me what I've wanted to hear,
Whisper the prayer into my ear
Write it on the depths
Of my soul.

Breathe the new life
Into me, resurrect
The somber and irresolute
Grey of sad eyes into new blue.

You linger right behind me,
I can't hide, can't
Escape the eyes with which
You taunt me.

Your taste is just out
Of my grasp, begging my
Worship of you like an
Absolute fortune of woman.

Enter the garden where I lay,
In pieces, in bondage,
Shackled to every last breath
That covers me.

The electric of your touch
Is the simple prayer
I send to the sky
Amongst the trees.

I am truly mad.
My passion for you
Breaks my mind and
Cuts me to the quick.

It was coming toward me,
Hurtling like a boulder
Flung by an overgrown Cupid
And I had no escape.

The impact has decimated me.
Can't you see the smoke of my
Longing for you wisp from
My hair, my body, through my soul?

Why can't you come to me?
What holds you motionless,
Spectating my torment?
Why do you forsake me?

So speak to me...
Talk softly with silver tongue,
Sail into my heart on golden wings
And light the night sky.
