Souls Between Birth And Death Poem by Houda Boukassoula

Souls Between Birth And Death

Rating: 5.0

Souls that take bodies shapes at birth
Go beyond shapes in sorrow or mirth
Once a flower another time a butterfly
Sometimes a breeze refreshing the hay
Sometimes a sun lighting the sky
As sparks igniting the willpower, they may
Encompass bodies and try to awaken
A vanishing energy or a heart that is broken
The more the body we try to strengthen
The more the power of the soul we weaken
When the bodies fade and lose shape
The souls look for transparency in vain
While the bodies are rotting under the earth
The souls go beyond shapes to try life again
