Souls Beneath Poem by jacqui fleming

Souls Beneath

In this world we think,
Think that we’re the only ones,
But what we think,
Is what we see,
Which can be gone in a blink.

Seasons come and go,
But one thing still remains,
The souls beneath the sea will never change.

Always happy and ever so playful,
Never serious,
Never sad,
But will that change?

For we have scarred this earth so bad,
Has it not reached them yet?
I guess we will never know.
