Soul-Filled Poem by Cynthia Evans

Soul-Filled

For Loren Oliver

Dark blue orb
Floating
Drawing us in
Deeper toward the horizon
Filling our souls with yours
Silent beckoning
Waves of colour
Washing clean sorrows
Shining
Drifting
As I watch quietly
Carefully
Light-revealed
Iridescent
Green and lapis and scarlet
Unseen shadows
Slide back
Pass away.
Light stays
Dances
Crashes
Pulling us to life
To you
Steady, strong
Speaking silently
Buoying us
Birth and death hold us
Securely
Safely
Rising
Always rising with the light.
