Soul Expression Poem by David Olughu

Soul Expression

Soul expression, we always create a scar-leaving impression.
Indeed we're God's true reflection.
Our words are a compass, they give direction.
You cannot just come and pass without giving us an ovation.

We're a royal priesthood,
that's our identity.
We conquer our neighbourhood,
it's our act of generosity.
We live a life of servitude,
it's a necessity.
You can save the gratitude
to when you meet us later in eternity.

Our words are fire;
like musical chords pitched higher,
sharp like swords, never mistake them for pliers.
They give glory to the Lord of Lords; our sire.

Soul expression
operates in a dimension
different from the world's normal convention,
because through Christ, we obtained divine redemption,
making us a dispensation
of ladies and gents avail of condemnation.

We're not just human
We're spirit
She's not just a woman
Like Nike, she can "just do it"

It's not a crime that we taste sugar even in life's lime.
This is because our words chime
and they take you back in time
to the initial kingdom paradigm.

So when next you see a soul expression member,
make sure you remember,
never you compare us because an apple can never be a cucumber.
