Soul Circle Sonnet Poem by Velvet Thorn

Soul Circle Sonnet

Rating: 5.0

The endless universe at her first light
Did weave a fabric infinite and whole
Of matter strong and pure and clean and bright
And painted thereupon each nascent soul
Then incontent to leave the weave entire
Into uncounted pieces did she tear
The cloth and hurl into a fierce sun's fire
In smoke the souls were parted in despair
'Til enter'd they into a living breath
Where chance might briefly mend what once was torn
Remaining whole until consumed by death
Then spat out sep'rately to be reborn.

Thy newly minted words a desp'rate sea
Forever held to be thy muse I be.

I loved this sonnet! It's beautiful, and the meter and rhyme scheme are flawless. Well-done! :)
