Sorry I Never Know You Poem by Kully Ishfaq

Sorry I Never Know You

The listless thing he gave its life
The cooling wind that cut like knife
Delighted me, washed my brain
I jumped in the joy to feel it again

That diamonds which come from sky
coloured the world up so high
Kids with open mouth, eyebrows up
Silent like me want to jump

Birds singing all the time
Saying me to quite the wine
Sun shining says something to me
'I don't understand it', I said.I was busy.

That green blanket that cover our planet
Feels so good, eyes feel so wet
I did understand you now, yes I did
Feeling so sorry now, that I never did.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In this poem the poet describes that he was unknown by the beauty of the nature. He tells us that he was so busy in the man made things that he never think about the nature. He feels so sorry. 'Wine' here describes the man made things, so now he thought to quite it. He becomes so happy to see the sun, wind, greenery etc. The sun also tells us that we can't understand the nature fully, as the Sun tells him something but he does not understand that.
