Soothing Waters Poem by bryan wallace

Soothing Waters

Rating: 4.0

Clear freshwater softly flows
Washing over the rocks and stones.
Last night's heavy rainfall
Still visible, in the risen level.
Cleaning the river bed as it flows
Polishing the rocks and stones
As it goes. Slowly to the ocean,
Pouring cleanliness and freshness
As it flows with soft soothing voice.

Standing on a river bank,
A cold clear November day.
Last night's rain-clouds departed,
Revealing clear blue winter skies.
Time suspended in my mind
As cold cleansing waters rush by.

Oh cold, clear running water
Wash o'er me - cleanse my soul.
Sooth my troubled, aching mind
With your soft, smooth meolodic voice
Pouring redemption as you go.
Creating tranquility in the turbulent minds
Of life's lost souls who wander your banks
On Sunday afternoons -
Oh River - share with me your tranquility!
