Sonnet: The Wonders Of The World Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: The Wonders Of The World

All man-made wonders seen in centuries,
Will not remain as such as years pass on;
But crumble with time's passage like disease
Affecting every creature that is born.

Yet, newer modern ones replace the old -
The former, giant machine-made by man;
Big money spent brings awesomeness untold,
And proves that greater feats man does, and can.

Yet, Nature's wonders will last longer still;
And time cannot undo her magic sway;
Money or labor haven't a role but Will
Of God, His purpose that's achieved His way.

Then earth and heavens pass but not God's Word -
For Word is God, the truth and love and Lord.
