Sonnet: The Cancer-Stricken … Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: The Cancer-Stricken …

When cancer strikes the poor and affluent,
Both persons known, unknown, and dear as well,
‘No cure/ endure’ is just the argument;
Heaven on earth is taken up by hell!

We pray that cancer shouldn’t strike even foes;
And yet, it comes to friends and ones so dear;
All health-providers are kept on their toes;
The victim’s dead before his death by fear.

God only knows the pain, suffering of souls;
A cell goes awry, uncontrollable;
The victims same, no matter change of roles;
Then, Euthanasia’s one thing probable.

With harmony of cells-function all gone,
One wonders why a human beings’ born?
most lovingly dedicated to all the patients ill with terminal cancers
