Sonnet: Limbo Poem by Ramon Escamilla

Sonnet: Limbo

Rating: 4.5

My heart lays, hurts, pains
Life stands still but time remains
Numb from my feelings disconnected from thoughts
My chest beats no more due to the love and the loss

Sadness confines me like locked in a cage
Like a madman paralyzed unable to rage
I lay here silent reliving the past
My body stays still like wrapped in a cast

My life has been pained from the love and the lies
From the love to the hate to the laugh and the cries
A rollercoaster of emotions to hard to endure
Infected with a virus with no hope of a cure

Will my heart mend? That remains to be seen
For now it stays wounded, it Hurts, pains, and bleeds
