Sonnet For Journey (For Donna) Poem by Danny Draper

Sonnet For Journey (For Donna)

Be away with me in vistas to come
Honeymoon days by midnight arctic sun,
Planning and chancing unknown roads as one
As it has been since our journey begun.
Be a way with me as only you can
A look or touch, us walking hand in hand,
Intimate silence, endearing elan
Travel partner of choice, as always planned.
Be away with me new in fragrant light
Attempting salutations place to place,
Tasting days to come, dining on each night,
Moments outside life's ordinary pace.
Be a way with me, my life's holiday,
Be away with me, each and every day.
