Sonnet: Another Invocation To God Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Another Invocation To God

Protect me Lord like you have always done;
You are my benefactor since my birth;
As per my needs, you give me rain and sun;
Do guide me Lord to keep the road on earth.

Without your grace, my human strength can’t win;
Without your blessings, life can turn futile;
Without your forgiveness, man lives in sin;
Give me the will to walk the extra mile.

I do not wish to judge my brothers, foes;
I do not want to curse the tress-passers;
To cries of innocents, God always goes;
You judge most fairly human offenders.

The hand of God protects all creatures made;
The devils realm on earth will sooner fade.
