Sonnet: Administrative Tangles Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Administrative Tangles

With weather rough, the work was tough at times;
With problems much, solutions seldom came;
With infighting, denied was peace all climes;
With selfishness, all tried to throw the blame.

The dean's requests fell upon deafened ears;
Some slogged so hard but others lazy stayed;
The grace of God protected us through years;
But none could bell the cat for needed aid!

God works His miracles for righteous souls;
Mere human toil can't bring the success aimed;
Some had to don the garb of extra roles;
And fate had handicapped some, bruised and maimed.

The Hand of God was upon foes within;
The dean had pulled off feats with final win!
