As I laid on my bed, deep in night
my mind wondered far and away
far in the unknown
I just realised how hard i had worked

My songs of victory and bravery
my anxieties and fears
All are but shadows at night
I wondered why life is such a dream
Now you live, now you die

I gazed into the bright skies
but all I saw were soldiers
in the battle field

My heart missed a beat and another
Soon my journey ends
Very soon

Just as the sun kisses the moon good night
And shadows go to sleep
so is my breath

My eyes are wet and soul groans
Bones are weary and blood cold

I looked around me
And all was darkness

My friends had departed
And my mama too

I cried for help
but my voice only resounded in my ears

And now my dreams crumble
Before my very eyes
and my heart ticking to the stop
And now my dreams are but done! !
