Songs Of Lovers Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Songs Of Lovers

The wind has called me to be gentle
Kisses from over the sea of dreams
Romance swells the tides with magic

Fallen hearts hide neath purple masks
See past the illusions into the loneliness
She waters her flowers in sweet hope

Spring is over, summer ripens our visions
Rivers flow with mystic poems
Fire burns in the starry sky of intrigue

Paint your embraces in pastels of faith
Reach deep into the soul of myth
Take my hand along the ancient walk

Pristine tears make roses alive with gifts
The tide washes my heart and I am ready
Suffering teaches me about your tenderness

Waterfalls and rainbows appear in her eyes
Sunshine and moonlight are grand miracles
Cupid lives by the sea on a island of stars

We walk slowly along the sands of love
Their destruction cannot overcome hope
Let the songs of true lovers fill the dawn
