Somewhere Poem by Katy Lue

I sit and wait
for something of fate
that will propel me to somewhere unknown,

To world where the chest doesn't heave
from nightmarish dreams
and life isn't swallowed up whole,

To a place that proves peaceful
and the air is spread even
so that the people inhabiting can breathe out and back in,

To an earth not so needy
or hopeless
or lost,

To something and somewhere where
Our paths just might cross
