Sometimes An Hour Poem by Pradip Chattopadhyay

Sometimes An Hour

I was bleary eyed
when she left this morning

my sleepy sighs
couldn't emit even a bye
just the sound of the lock's click
made me sick
as did the lonely bed
that would make sleep such shit
make feel each breath
of heavier weight..

I fed the birds
to forget

the hour

she would be gone for a walk.
