Sometimes Poem by Rebecca Hall

Sometimes

Sometimes
When I'm all alone
In my room

They crawl
From their
Hiding spots

Pretending
To be something
They are not

Flesh
Blood slowly
Draining
From their empty
Cavities

Where maggots
Have eaten away
What once was
Their hearts,
But no more is
