Sometimes. Poem by Carl Roussell

Sometimes.

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes,
I feel like breathing in
this life around me,
to be part of it all.
Sometimes,
I need to belong,
the known and the unknown,
just parts of it all.

Sometimes the full story
will leave you feeling sorry,
'cause your not the hero
you thought you should have been.
And you are not the villain
though you could have been.
You are a minor character,
just a minor character.

Sometimes,
I feel like living life,
feel like knowing love,
oh, just sometimes, but
Sometimes,
is not often enough,
and this is the wrong time,
one more time apart from it all.

Thanks. At times it seems as though the world is against you and you are swimming against the tide. If one goes more or less with the flow and is more accepting of a situation instead of fighting it, life might give more of what you are looking for. At least that is what I was trying to represent in this piece.
