Something Bigger Poem by Smoky Hoss

Something Bigger

Rating: 4.7

Keep our gratitudes higher than
our expectations,
and peace shall show -
Where we are going
is the end of the journey of where we've been;
hold on, the day of rest is out there -
Chaos is.
Sabbath shall be.
Something bigger than both, knows beyond both -
Lightning gives a glimpse of where. Shine.
Thunder gives a voice to how far. Sing.
Ponder both, realizing we do not control the storm -
The wind will come, blowing upon us,
do not fear and fight,
let it carry us into deeper places -
We shall happen in the desert.
We shall be carried to the refreshing river.
We shall be taken across -
Where, looking up, we see: the dream of God,
going into us, and us into it, beyond imagination;
give thanks, for Something bigger -

Interesting to read this now, Smoky, as I've been seeing better lately the need to let go, praying

Part 2. These are the kind of verses I wish to write---deep and stirring and as lovely as moonlight. It is definitely a Poem of the Day in my book and I am favoriting it and giving it 5 stars because 5 is all PH allows
