Someone You Miss Poem by Brandon Lucero

Someone You Miss

More than you could take
blindsided
and so I forsake
myself

Everyday I'm learning
about you
brings me to my knees

We're leaving without them
as long as you're with me

Take on the world
step by step
define my love
take my life

Don't slip away
we used to be closer than this
am I something you miss
try remembering
my kiss

Long limbs
soft necklines
God's creation

Legs wrapped around
my warm body
chest to chest

Oh to be there
one last time
looking into your knowing eyes
heaven knows I wish
am I someone you miss?
