Somehow She Made Me Cry Poem by Jez Inglis

Somehow She Made Me Cry

She looked so beautiful in the twilight,
Yet somehow she made me cry.
She shone so brightly in the moonlight
Under the evening sky.
She flowed so elegant in the halflight
Of the concert hall.
I watched her sitting in the dimlight,
Listening to it all.
She glowed like candles in the carlight,
Her eyes so big and brown.
She shimmered softly under streetlight
That lit the midnight town.
She seemed so perfect in the nightlight
Under the starry sky.
She lit my life up with her ownlight,
Yet somehow she made me cry.
