Solo Poem by Chester Maynes

Solo

He steals liquid purple soap
In a common bathroom
No one ever knows
This boy seems to undo
Things that good enough for you

While he looks in the mirror
The smile he cannot fake
No one sees why he’s alone
Only himself and his shadow
This boy seems good enough for you

Adrift in his world
He lost a soul and he never knew
Once in a summer he glows
This boy seems to wander
Now I even don’t know
