Solitary Poem by Della Perry

Solitary

Silence can be unrelenting
Punishing and brutal
To look inside yourself
Is a difficult thing to do.
Deflated and broken
However, without knowing yourself
In the silence
How can you be yourself
In the midst of the noise
And chaos of this world?
Be yourself
Know yourself
Love yourself.
Do not be afraid of the silence
Embrace it.
