Soliloquy Poem by Christopher Cofield

Soliloquy

Rating: 4.8

A deep breath, a silent prayer, a chance to dream my way to the great unknown
the darkness consumes me, the silence deafens me, as the midnight bell chimes its final tone

I shackle doubt to the culprit fear and cast them upon the riverside of disbelief
In armor of faith, with my sword of truth, I soldier on through this world of make believe

To vanquish the demons of right and wrong and there by gaining my true sight
My visage no longer cast in shadow, now encompassed in loves pure light

I lay waste if only in my mind, to those devils my constant friends
If just for a moment, to plant the seed that will bring forth happiness at the battles end

For is it not right, for every man, to live the life he wants to lead
And so I carry with me courage its size the grain of a mustard seed

A very strong sense of beleif and commitment to your goals in life, the message is clearly stated and I find it inspiring to read, excellent use of metaphors and analogies to the fight of both past and present. Great right.
