Solidarity Poem by Shaquay Spencer

Solidarity

Confinement, left alone in society
Billions on this planet yet I am alone
Why? My record says that I do not do well with others
They say my people skills are dulling
I need to sharpen them
I have been left in solidarity too long
I was at the edge of the earth where no one resides
Just left alone my only friend became my thoughts
I am running a one man team
Been talking to myself so long I forgot others existed
I live at the edge of the world
Where my thoughts roam freely
I live in solidarity
But I think society pushed me here
They sent me away because I wouldn't censor myself
Living in a world where freedom is first
Solidarity is not a punishment for a crime
It is a privilege within itself if you know how to view and use properly
