Soldier Boy

Their lost voices drift on the wind,
I have fallen, please carry me home
Like shadows drifting between the leaves
From sunsets past, to now fading dreams
Soldier boy, on a final journey home.
Brave soldier who gave his last breath,
To give us all, what he can no longer have
Life in peace, parties and sunsets on the beach
Their lives float on the wind, forever to remind us all
Drifting slowly from the memory of those we've lost
Soldier boy, come home to us all.
Brave soldier boy, draped in the flag
Come home one last time, to remind us all…

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

Conscience is instinct bred in the house,
Feeling and Thinking propagate the sin
By an unnatural breeding in and in.
I say, Turn it out doors,
