Snippet Of History
Winston Churchill's Coalition
in the nineteen thirty-nine war
brought the 'Brits' to victory
during terrible days of yore.
A temporary Alliance Party
dealt with those years of stress.
Quite a suitable choice at the time
and certainly put to the test.
Then Clement Attlee's Party
which governed after the war
put the country back on its feet
smiling ~ as never before.
