Sneakers And Ants Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Sneakers And Ants

The ant is such an amazing creature.
Discovering the small things in life we undoubtably take for granted.
For the ant, it gives purpose. Becoming the translucent of discovery.
Love takes whole, the taste of the wind becomes different.
By chance it doesn't stumble, the universe in part allures it.
A sip of water taken by small hands to quench such massive thirst.
The pieces of ourselves we give on to others to make them whole.
In terms, it is selfless to resist.
Becoming the everlasting desire of mere fragments.
It doesn't search, nor give itself away in vain.
It knows along. The presence of ants tying up their sneakers
Leaving nothing unnoticed
