Snapshot

the moment captured,
the time it took,
that single second the whole world shook,
no false start,
straight from the heart,
so can we doubt as the suns blocked out,
and darkens the sky,
as we get high,
that this is our turn,
our time,
our earth,

freeze frame,
no more shifting the blame,
we're all the same,
each of us must forget the shame,
look ahead,
all fed,
all free,
none victimised,
nicely surprised,

then maybe our people break free,
and start to grow,
for we must have some releif,
some room to breath,
now we are past milleniums eve,

could be our chance,
new stance,
new attitude,
new feeling in the air,
grab it if we dare,
no need to lose it,
just have to choose it,
ours now for the taking,
to many of us have been breaking,
under the pressure,
under the bread line,
how can it still be fine,

a crime that noone admits to,
no perpatator but its still true,
moment captured,
frozen on the street,
underpass, out of sight so neat,
now we find our feet,
this is no test,
no examination,
not some degree,
but life,
our lives,
we live here,
we know fear,

so we stay free to rule ourselves,
not to be crushed,
but to fly,
to flee,
to break free,
with roots so deep,
no limit on how large we become,
buzzing still,
can you hear the hum?
