Smoke Rings Poem by Chris Bradshaw

Smoke Rings

Rating: 3.0

I know how a cedar forest sings
In harsh December storms
And I've slept alone in golden fields
Under bloody Harvest Moons
But my wandering heart
Remembers you:

Like a natural state
More vibrant and free
Or a shining expanse
Of evergreen trees
Like a river runs joyfully
Down to the sea
There is no direction
Except you
For me
