Smoke Filled Visions Poem by Patricia Gale

Smoke Filled Visions

Rating: 5.0

Golden peach and amber streaks through blue
Lightly suspended below dark billowing clouds
A cool autumn breeze touches my cheek

Yellow and red dance hand in hand as the fire ascends
An interlude of blue and smoky white arises with the scent of hickory

From the flames I see a vision
Smiling back at me

We dance beneath the stars as the music softly strums
Lost in heaven for a time

A cool trickle is felt ….slowly falling to the earth
The vision and the fire slowly fade
But for the moment you were here
