Smoke Came Out Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Smoke Came Out

His breath kindles coal and his mouth shoot out flames,
And smoke came out of his nostrils;
But my ears have heard of you and now my eyes do see you!
So try to fill my mouth with the laughter of your love.
Glide by the boats of reeds and you came to me,
For i am now considered guilty for loving you;
But i am innocent to your love and of your muse,
And like the eagles swooping on their prey at last.
