Smile Poem by Sinead Mc Cormick

Smile

Since he turned thirty, months ago,
There are no more taking things nice and slow,
There has been talk about marriage and kids too,
Thinking of moving in, in July it’s true.

I never thought this would happen to me,
But it has as you can see,
I have the man that I wanted for a very long time,
And now at last I can call him mine.

Trust me I have tried for three long years,
And yes there have been a lot of tears,
But in the end, it has all been worth while,
Just so I could finally smile.
