Smack Poem by Cassidy Graves

Smack

Rating: 5.0

Malnourished willow limbs hang above me
Rough bark laden with track mark's deeper than the craters of the moon
Caressing my skin in a comfort tone of baby blue

Crawling through the mossy leaves
Bareback exposed to the waxy hot words imprinting into skin
Toxins dripping from the internal hatred she bares
Leaking into the spinal chamber through dark blue veins

The sickening nature of her will drags me back
Illuminating moonlight encasing milky white skin
Stars laying amongst the maggot-ridden corpses she embodies
I remain perplexed by the crystalline structure of a plastic heart

The obsessive agony of addiction is beautifully portrayed in this lovely piece of poetry, well articulated and elegantly penned in good poetic diction with conviction. An insightful poem nicely brought forth with the inward eye. Thanks for sharing Cassidy. Please read my poem POETIC MASTERPIECE.
