Slowly Poem by Sadness Inside

You've left me in this world of hatred

Awakened by the feeling of emptiness

No trace of love, I open my eyes

The skies are black, my smile fades away

The walls are slowly closing in, imprisoning me in lies

What used to be the greatest place, is now my greatest fear

I lost my love, my hope, my compassion

Looking up into the darkness of the sky

Bolts of anger take over my thoughts

A storm of rage, steals my soul

I lay there, emotionless, like a corpse

I tear my heart out, my sight, is getting worse, my breath, getting slower and slower, trying to say one last thing, all that comes out is a weak gasp for air

At last, blackness. I close my eyes hoping to wake up in a better place.....at a better time.
