Slow The Night Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Slow The Night

Slow the night
ascends
as does the moon
in tandem
or in servitude
or both
hill grew silent
in as proportion direct
to their darkening:
sylphs flew transparent after
bats
shrieked the bats
the sylphs in silence lay
red dusk withdrew his reign
to night
ended the day.
