Slovak Widow On 59th Street Poem by Donal Mahoney

Slovak Widow On 59th Street

She’s 84
and when she stands,
everyone can hear the chiropractic crack

of eon bones
and everyone still tries hard
not to look

that half second when
the chamois’s taut
across protractor features.
