Sloth Poem by fadinginto oblivion

Sloth

I am a big sluggard
And lethargy runs in my blood
Not that I am deprived of power
But I take one step in an hour.
It is the way I am designed.
And by giving my example
Indolence is often defined.
On the same branch
I can live for years.
Grey green algae cover me up
And I have no fears.
Sometimes I creep slowly,
Drowsily towards the nearest prey
But let it go if it moves a little away.
Listless and harmless I am
In the animal domain.
But in the world of human beings
I am one of the seven deadly sins.
