Sleepwalkers Poem by nimal dunuhinga

Sleepwalkers

Rating: 5.0

Who suture her heart?
It was torn apart.
When I met her
She was smell of liquor.
I waited until she gets sober
And she started talking in anger.
'I loved him and gave everything
But now he is having an affair
With my sister and they are going to marry soon.'
'I am very sorry my dear and I too a loner bird
But the problem is that I don't have a proper roost.
I sleep in a doghouse and how I take you to my sinking ship? '

Two lost souls offering succor to one another in a sad and sorry world. I agree with Denis Joe about the first few lines. Exceptional poem from an exceptional poet. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The opening of this is outstanding Nimal, one of the best I have come across. There is a lovely balance in this; not only the actors of the narrative but the balance of morality. This is, indeed, one of the bestpieces that I have read of yours. That is saying something.

Two ships that pass in the night? A very sad poem, Nimal. Sandra
