Sleeping Tree Poem by Tom Buthkil

Sleeping Tree

Dreams of a sleeping tree
Smiling right at me
Feeling so lost and cold
Behind this shadow I hide alone

I found comfort in being sad
Another memory I have to add
I look under every white stone
Now it's gray, that which I've known

As the mist hides your side
A new mask of life I try to find
Senselessly I search above
For one who dies with love

It slowly starts to fall
Naked it seems so small
Now comes your voice
Feeling scared behind all the noise

Dreams of a sleeping tree
Crying right at me
Sleeping with all the lies
Slowly it all starts to die
