Sleep Poem by Mohsen Musavi

Sleep

Atmosphere is dark and dismal
In dream, sleep, I do spell
Heavy stagnant air I inhale
My morning plans I invade
On the wall curtain has laid
Passing light is get dismayed
On fireplace flames are dancing
I’ve heard them, no, not singing
Godot might come by their ending
For hours, I’ve been sleeping
Damn, I’m whipped by my intestine
… yes, fast foods are new foes of men
Hairy ape is lying beside my bed
By now it must have been read
My cell phone “Battery Low” signaled
Although new battery I have installed
The phone reposes on the table
It has been detached from charger cable
Suddenly out of the blue
I received an SMS, form whom I did not knew
In this the power was embed
Which could get me out of my bed
Having toward the table moved
I chant this, right for such mood:
'Ah, are you digging on my grave,
My loved one? - planting rue? '
As I caught the phone due to
Irancell had sent SMS me to.
