Slaughtered Memories Of A Heart That Used To Be

Rating: 0.5

behind this feeling
to the side of my minefield heart,
I can't remember where this ends and starts,
it happened so long ago still castrating my mind,
the freshness of the appeal, the futility of the plea,
your 2x2's still running over me,
your voice your voice still ringing in my ear,
and i stand drowning in the pool of my slaughtered heart,

your still here, i still care, why the sudden fall,
why the sudden fall, why are you still here,
holding onto me, dipping in and out of love,

this aint a memory, was it this way from the start?
so hard to remember, especially when we start,
you take me in, my faith redeemed
you aid my broken heart, on the couch you snuggle in my arms,

your still here, i still care, why the sudden fall,
why the sudden fall, why are you still here,
holding onto me, dipping in and out of love,

you fade again, as you always do and it splatters cold and hard
do you really think that my small town heart can be
smart enough to see that you are using me
I'm not a memory I'm guinea pig of hearts
I'm a slaughtered memory of a heart that used to be
