Sky Colours At Dawn

In despair for a rhyme,
a poet expands the language by a word:
for one for 'raised', for 'poised' puts 'paised'
('paised', to 'roised', preferred) .

... expands a word's meaning too:
for a rhyme for 'weeds',
perhaps for the first time
calls bollocks 'steeds'.

Stunned by the first sight of her first lover's at dawn,
Aurora goes red,
dons her purple weeds,
and jumps into and colours the cleeds*.
