Size Zero Poem by Eugenia Riziki Barhalibirhu

Size Zero

I am a size 6 and your a size 4
My sister is a size 10
I am neither your size nor a size zero
I am just trying to be the my own hero
Striving to be the best that I can be
Even if it means becoming what they speak against
Because I am happy
Refusing to be a contestant
Because I am happy
I don't need a judge
So I refuse to be a size
We are victimised and traumatise by those who believe
In order to be happy you need qualify zero
but size zero becomes insignificant when you die
