Sinners Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

Sinners

I want to tell you where we can exactly find all of the wicked sinners of the society
They are not in the casinos, brothels, pubs, motels or even drug dens in the locality
Just go to the place where people ask of such forgiveness for all of the sins they've done
A worthless building which is abandoned when the mass is over and the people are gone
For the church has made a long list of sins which are deemed evil to the prejudice eyes
Sins which are considered to be immoral but has no logical truth so it must be just lies
In their own foolish interpretation of the Bible they made themselves appear to be righteous
By injecting fear to the also foolish people who believes all of the garbage which are fictitious
For I believe that most people doesn't change because they hear the word of our God
But only through what they had experienced in life and for the all things that they had
For experience will always be the best mentor and teacher in surviving the savage reality
In making the appropriate change in every of our decision and actions towards necessity
For only our conscience could dictate what is good or bad for us in the given circumstances
Especially out of our own desperation felt inside or even for the joy in taking all the chances
If the parents could not even convince its own child to become a better person
What made you think that the priest could even influence some kind of a lesson
Just take away all the money that you give to the church and you will all find out
The true nature of most of these so-called priests and what they are truly all about
So people have been coming to the church since they were all younger in age
And they've all been listening to the same word of God from the Bible's page
How many times do you have to hear the same verse from exactly the same Book
Once is just enough for a wise man to hear if you would only try to seek and look
And most of you have probably heard the same word of God a thousand times already
How many ridiculous times do you have to hear it before becoming kind to everybody
These priests are like a broken record by repeating the same advice like a script they've read
Like an impersonator delivering his lines to the public which he had memorized in his head
Most of you are still the stubborn child you were by allowing what you hear to pass your ear
For none of you really understood by repeatedly coming back to the church that is very near
If the Government breaks the Commandment by allowing all of its Police and Military to kill
Then we should not come to the churches which demands money and charge you with a bill
Knowing that it is the worshipers own money that was spent to erect the Religious Building
Now you selfishly charge these people in using the church for their own Burial or Wedding
What kind of vicarious experience could the priests possibly share to the souls that are lost
Most priests are like a performer who talks about what they have gathered at your own cost
Most of those priests have isolated themselves in the seminary in most of their life
So what kind of wisdom or advice could we get from those fools in our own strife
A priest could memorize the lines in the Bible but what is his contribution to our endeavor
When all they mostly did is to Yaki-de-Yak their own mouths and ask for a financial favor
Its not like these priests have a direct line to God in heaven where they could ask who to save
In the fear of going to hell people ignorantly obeyed such foolishness in the money they gave
I would rather listen to all those great men who achieved such great success
Not those priests who speak of lies for all the wealth that they could possess
My children God is inside of you and listens to your prayers anywhere you are
He will judge you and not the church whether you are in your house or your car
So if you want to see animals go to the Zoo but if you want to see sinners go to the Church
Good or Noble men could not be found in a church for they are busy making this world better
If I ever want the World and Church knows who I am then this would be my personal letter
